On Tuesday, Opelika’s Jax Miller hit a game-winning double, driving home two, as the Dawgs defeated Valley 11-10 in a come-from-behind fashion.

Down 10-9 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Opelika rallied for the comeback.

For Valley, the Raams jumped out to a 5-0 lead as a Logan Seymour single put Valley on the board.

A Cole House  3 RBI Triple put the Rams up 5-0 headed into the bottom of the fourth.

Opelika tied the game in the bottom of the inning, scoring five runs as the offense came alive for the Dawgs.

Valley took the lead in the top of the seventh as Mason Yarbrough doubled, scoring one run, to give the Rams a  10-9 lead, but that wasn’t enough as Opelika would have the last swing.

James Ward earned the win for Opelika. The hurler allowed one hit and two runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking four. Yarbrough took the loss for Valley in defeat. .

Valle piled up nine hits in the game. Yarbrough, House, and Seymour each collected two hits for Valley. House went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in.

Opelika tallied 11 hits in the game. Miller was a force going 2-3 with RBI’S including the game winner.

Valley will try and get back on the winning track against St. Anne-Pacelli on Wednesday.
