July 23, 1971 – February 11, 2026
Michael Scott McAllister, age 54, of Dadeville, AL, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his home. Michael was born July 23, 1971, in Buena Vista, Georgia, to Paul Amos and Sandra Moore McAllister.
Michael graduated from Reeltown High School in 1990 and went on to pursue a degree in welding in Dothan, AL. He worked in construction and the quarry industry and was a fabrication welder. Michael’s artistry and creativity enabled him to work on anything, build anything, and become a jack of all trades! One of his favorite places to be was outside on a piece of heavy equipment, moving dirt around or helping friends with projects at their homes. He never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. Michael loved all music and could often be found composing songs, strumming his guitar, playing his drums, or sharing his voice. He enjoyed building and flying remote drones and racecars, gardening, ATVs, and various other hobbies, and loved his cats, life, and family. But most of all loved spending time with his beautiful daughter, Abi and the love of his life, Gina. Michael, in life, was always willing to help friends and family with whatever they needed and he continues that even in death by being an organ donor.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Sandra McAllister and his sister Valerie Faith Conway.
He is survived by his precious daughter Abigayle Anna McAllister of Wetumpka, AL, Brothers Steven (Tammy) McAllister of College Grove, TN, and Randy (Lora) McAllister of Cleveland, GA, nephews Joe Allen, Matt McAllister, Josh McAllister, Luke McAllister, and his life partner and soul mate Gina Weiser, along with many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be held at Buena Vista Cemetery, Buena Vista, Georgia Saturday, February 21, at 10:00 am EST and family will convene to New Providence Baptist Church in Buena Vista for visitation and fellowship.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity in Michael’s name.
