May 28, 1957 ~ November 16, 2025 (age 68)

Michael Harry House, age 68, of Valley, Alabama, went to Heaven on November 16, 2025. Michael was born on May 28, 1957, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Margaret and Dennis House.

He loved bike riding, long walks, the Detroit Tigers, the University of Michigan basketball, and—most of all—people. It was often said that Michael never met a stranger. He loved talking with family, friends, and anyone he encountered, and as a result, everyone loved Michael. As he would say with a smile, “What’s not to love?” More than anything,

Michael loved Jesus. He wanted others to know that Jesus saved him and changed his life. Michael was a faithful member of Langdale Methodist Church, where he worshipped, served, and found community.

He also served many years with The Salvation Army, especially ringing the bell each Christmas season—something he loved dearly.

Michael is survived by his wife, Lori; his daughters, Lisa House and Kelli North (Brad); his stepchildren, Anne Burns (Larry) and Benjamin Stevens (Madison); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emma, and William Burns. He is also survived by his sister, Kim Marie Radabaugh; his brother, Roy Paul Fairless; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Fairless (Roy); his father, Dennis House; his brother, David House; and his sister, Sandra Jeanne Fairless.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Langdale Methodist Church on Saturday, November 29th, 2025 at 11:30 A.M. (EST).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Interfaith Food Closet in Valley, Alabama, or to The Salvation Army.

“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
