October 15, 1961 – February 1, 2026

Marikay J. Stachura (née Siroky), 64, of Henderson, Tennessee, was born on October 15, 1961, in Evergreen Park, Illinois. She passed away on February 1, 2026, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Marikay was the devoted mother of two sons, Jonathan (Jayme) and David Stachura. She was lovingly known as Yia Yia to her four grandchildren: Logan and Raegan Stachura, and Madison and Cole Stachura.

She is remembered as a caring sister to Richard (Marilyn) Siroky, Karen Siroky, and Christine (Vincent) Navarro and sister-in-law to Kim Siroky. Marikay also served as an aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Kayla; many cousins, friends; and her puppy Zivah.

Marikay was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rita Siroky, and her brothers Thomas and James Siroky.

Being from the Chicago area, Marikay was an avid Pepsi drinker, an Italian beef sandwich connoisseur, and enjoyed her Giordano’s cheese pizza.

Some of her favorite past times were cheering on her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors and being a skilled DIYer.

A Requiem Mass will be held on February 23, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, located at 1665 US-45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a Rosary prayer at 10:30 AM. The Mass will commence at 11:00 AM.
