Lynda Maxcine Huddleston, 82 of Dadeville, Alabama, passed away on February 27, 2026, at her home.
Maxcine was born on March 9, 1943, in Chambers County, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Buster Newman and Christine Nichols Newman.
Maxcine spent many years as a bus driver for Tallapoosa County schools. She loved her bus kids. She was a devoted wife and later caregiver for her husband, Bill. She loved to play the piano with her grands and great grands. One of her favorite pastimes was crafting with her husband Bill, before his stroke.
She was her husband’s entire world. She loved her family, her animals, and her plants.
Maxcine is survived by her husband of 63 years, William (Bill) Huddleston; daughter, Staci (Mike) McCullers; daughter in law, Kaye Huddleston; grandchildren, Nicki (Ryan) Powell, Katie Mushunje, Turner (Carly) Huddleston, Kaitlyn McCullers (Jake), Slade (Adena) McCullers; great grandchildren, Emri, Ana-Loryn, Alex, Hudson, Whitt, Bronx, Brayken, Briggs, Brixie-Rain, Brogan, Broughton, Shona, Luke Elijah, Tracy Faith and due in August, William Banks.
Maxcine was preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Christine Newman, son Tracy Todd Huddleston.
The family will be having a private ceremony with family and close friends.
