Lee County Man Charged With Sexual Abuse of a Child Less than 12 Years Old

LEE COUNTY (January 27, 2026) – On January 26, 2026, at approximately 8:04 PM CST, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting sexual abuse of a child that had occurred on Lee Road 217 near the town of Notasulga in Lee County. Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators responded and were able to obtain evidence that resulted in the arrest of Dorisel Lee Briscoe (33) from Notasulga. The child was immediately taken into care and was examined by medical authorities as is standard procedure in this type of investigation.

Briscoe was charged with:

One Count of Sexual Abuse of a Child Less than 12 Years of Age

One Count of Sodomy First Degree

Briscoe was residing at the residence but is not related to the victim. He is currently being held in the Lee County Jail with no bond awaiting an Aniah’s Law Hearing.
