LCSD Investigating Smiths Gas Station Robbery

On February 7th, 2026, at approximately 10:41 PM CST, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store located in the 16000 block of US Hwy 280 East in the Smith Station community of Lee County. Deputies arrived on scene at approximately 10:48 PM.

The store clerk advised Deputies that a white male and a black male entered the store with one brandishing a large knife and the other a handgun. The offenders demanded money from the register. The assailants made off with between $200.00 and $300 .00 in U.S. currency. Lee County Investigators responded to the scene and are currently working the case.
