LANETT- On Monday, the Springwood Lady Wildcats dominated Flint River Academy from the beginning, with a 61-22 win on a milestone night for Senior Tori Patillo as she eclipsed 2,000 points over her incredible career.

“Tori has had such a special journey. She’s gone through some health issues, and really wondered if it was worth it to keep playing, but she pushed through, and now, she’s at 2,000 points over her career. It’s quite the story, and she’s got offers to play at the next level”, said Wilcats Head Basketball Coach Lisa Sampson.

Patillo finished with 26 points, pacing the Lady Wildcats. Senior Vego Monsalve added 11 points, 8th Graders  AC Jackson and Tanner Hill were solid on both ends of the court, giving the Lady Wildcats a balanced attack.

We’re peaking at the right time, which is very important. Defensively, we’re looking good. Things are clicking for us, and we need that to continue as we get ready for the postseason”, added Sampson.

The Lady Wildcats (16-2) will now have a bye in the first round of the AISA AA Region 2 tournament and will wait to see who they play in the second round on February 10th at the Garrett Coliseum in Montgomery.
