June 27, 1950 — January 14, 2026

Kathleen Ann Kosmin (maiden name Thomer) , 76, of Dadeville, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was the daughter of Frank and Alice Thomer of Glenside Pa. and the sister of Patricia Slutzky (Steven) living in Ocean Pines, Md . She has a brother Frank Thomer living in Glenside Pa. Prior to living in Alabama for the last several years, Kathleen resided in Skippack Pa.

She was survived by her husband Arthur Kosmin and daughter, Jennifer Kosmin (Adam) and many nieces and nephews and their children. Sadly, her husband passed away just five days after she did. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Melissa Kosmin.

She was born in Abington Pa, on June 27th, 1950. Kathleen attended Bishop McDevitt high school in Wyncote Pa. She graduated in 1968 with honors. Kathleen then graduated with honors from the College of Philadelphia Nursing School and was a Registered Nurse. She worked for many prominent hospitals in the Philadelphia area. She also was a devoted private duty nurse for many years caring for people in their homes or hospitals. She was a dedicated daughter helping and taking care of her parents in their elder years. She was also formally a member of St Lukes Parish in Glenside Pa.

As a young woman, Kathleen volunteered at a 24/7 community-based center to counsel individuals in crisis situations. At the center she met her future husband Arthur Kosmin who was volunteering there as well. They fell in love and were married for just short of 50 years, passing away just five days apart.

Kathleen was an avid reader. She read hundreds of books in her life and could finish one in an evening. She was wonderful with pets and owned many dogs during her lifetime. She enjoyed activities such as bingo and other activities at the assisted living home that she and her husband were living at the time of their deaths.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Dadeville, Alabama on January 31st at 1:00 CST at Lake Martin Funeral Home and then a private burial service in Pa. at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in the spring.
