Jimmie Siggers, age 88, of Valley, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. He was born on March 4, 1938, to Charlie and Annie Siggers. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and servant to his community, he lived a life defined by his adoration of and dedication to his wife and love for his family. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and faithful career with West Point Pepperell, from which he retired after many years of hard work and commitment. Even in retirement, his servant’s heart remained active as he volunteered for many years at Lanier Hospital and The Bread Basket, touching countless lives with his kindness and generosity. A longtime member of Fairfax Methodist Church, he faithfully served in numerous roles throughout the years, always willing to lend his time, talents, and steady presence wherever needed.
He shared a beautiful marriage of 69 years with his beloved wife, Maryann Siggers — a testament to enduring love, partnership, and devotion.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Byrd; son-in-law, Todd Keese; grandsons David Keese and Billy Barnett; and others who welcomed him into eternal rest.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann Siggers; his sons, Charles & Denise and Mike & Beth; and son-in-law, Chris Byrd. He also leaves behind a cherished legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Cindy and Gary Worth and their son Wyatt; Ashley Barnett and her children, River and Boswell; Grace Siggers; Mary Michael and Rory Torbett and their daughters, Emma Taylor and Sarah Grace; Tood and Jackson Keese and their mother Sarah; Brandon Byrd and his wife Jill; and Matthew Randolph. He also leaves behind his brother in law, Albert Prince and sister in law Lois and her husband Thomas Wallace.
His son Charles and wife Denise faithfully remained by his and Maryann’s side around the clock during his final month, a reflection of the deep love within his family. He will be remembered for his quiet strength and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the values he instilled, and the memories that will be treasured forever.
Funeral services will be held at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley on Sunday, March 29th, 2026, at 2:30 PM (EDT), with burial to follow at Fairfax Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Pigg will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley from 1:30 PM (EDT) until the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fairfax Methodist Church, in his memory.
