Ginger Pitts Thrower, a beacon of warmth and compassion, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, in Opelika, Alabama. Born on October 24, 1961, in Valley, Alabama.
Ginger carried the nurturing spirit of her hometown throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
A devoted homemaker and pillar of kindness, Ginger’s life was defined by her roles as a loving fiancée, mother, and grandmother. She brought joy and comfort to her family, including her beloved fiancé, Johnny Miller, who stood by her side, embracing the journey of life together.
Her son, Will Thrower, and his wife, Kelsie, will forever cherish the unconditional love and support she extended to them. Ginger’s light shone brightest when in the presence of her granddaughter, Hannalee Thrower, who was the apple of her eye and her source of pride and joy.
The bonds of family extended beyond her immediate circle, as Ginger was a treasured relative to many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and one cherished uncle. Her roots ran deep, and her family tree was nurtured by her love and kindness, forming an everlasting canopy of memories.
Ginger was preceded in death by her loving parents, Frank and Deanne Pitts, and her caring grandparents, Frances and William Hines. Their guidance and values were deeply instilled in her, evident in the life she led and the love she shared. Ginger’s legacy will continue to thrive in the stories shared by family and friends, reflecting the beautiful tapestry of her life—a life lived with love at the forefront. She will be profoundly missed and forever in our hearts.
A graveside service will be held, 2:30 P.M. (EST), Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery, Valley, Alabama.
Visitation will be held, 12:30 until 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Johnson Brown – Service Funeral Home, Valley, Alabama.
