Jerry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1961 until 1965, showcasing his dedication and patriotism. After his military service, he built a successful career at West Point Stevens, where he dedicated 37 years before retiring in 2000 from their Cotton Warehouse. His work ethic was commendable, and he was highly respected by colleagues and supervisors alike. His beliefs were reflected in his everyday actions and the kindness he extended to all. Jerry also expressed his devotion through song as a member of the Wayfarer Quartet, touching the hearts of many with his harmonious contributions.
Family was the cornerstone of Jerry’s life. He shared 61 blissful years with his wife, Eleanor G. O’Neal, marking a union filled with love, mutual respect, and unwavering support. Together, they raised their son Greg O’Neal (Susan) and daughter Angela McCausland (Randy), instilling in them values of kindness and intelligence.
