Dennis Wayne Ogle, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, in Valley, at the age of 70. Born on July 5, 1955, in Chambers County, Dennis was a cherished son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose adventurous and creative spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
An electrician by trade, Dennis’s career at West Point Stevens is where his expertise and dependable work ethic were respected by his colleagues.
Dennis’s love for life could hardly be contained. One of his most cherished pastimes was traveling and playing music that knew no bounds and brought joy to everyone around him. When not captivating his audience with music, Dennis could often be found outdoors, reveling in the tranquility of nature, with a particular passion for hunting and fishing.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, a family who adored him: his devoted wife, Cathy Ogle; his beloved children, Timothy “Toby” Bailey, Kevin Senn, and Tiffany Sanford; and his adored grandchildren, Skyler Bailey, Kylie Smith, and Chloe Sanford. His memory will also be cherished by his sisters, Virginia Babson and Carolyn Black (Marvin), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dennis was greeted in heaven by his parents, I.D. Ogle and Marjorie Ogle, and his brother-in-law, Rex Barton, who preceded him in death. His departure from this world leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him, yet they take comfort in knowing that his was a life lived to the fullest.
The story of Dennis Wayne Ogle is one of love, music, and the call of the great outdoors. His life, an eloquent composition of the things that mattered most, will forever play a tune of adventurous spirit and creative heart in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to know him. We bid a fond farewell to Dennis, whose life journey was as bold and spirited as the man himself.
A funeral service for Dennis will be held at Johnson Brown – Service Funeral Home, in Valley, Alabama, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 2:30 P.M. (EST) with Reverend Nick Hatcher officiating.
Interment will follow immediately after the service at Harmony Memorial Park, Lanett, Alabama.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 1:30 P.M. (EST) until 2:30 P.M. (EST).
