March 15, 1966 ~ April 3, 2026 (age 60)

Daniel Lee Brown, 60, of Valley, Alabama, passed away on April 3, 2026, in Opelika, Alabama, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 15, 1966, in Germany, Daniel was the son of Mary Moncus (Hanson) and the late George Brown.

Daniel built a full and hardworking life as a self-employed contractor, skilled in everything from roofing to painting. He was known for being able to fix just about anything and for taking pride in every job he touched. His work ethic, creativity, and determination were matched only by his big heart.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoyed life’s simple pleasures most—playing video games, and spending time outdoors working on yard projects. Whether he was spending time with family or tinkering with something in the yard, Daniel was happiest with a project in his hands and peace around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Brown (Eidson); his children Jamie Eidson (Brooke), Stevie Brown, and Chasitie Hester (Josh); his mother Mary Moncus (Hanson); his siblings Kenny Brown, Jeff Brown, and Debra Bell; and many extended family members, grandchildren and friends who will forever feel his loss.

Daniel will be remembered for his humor, his warmth, his dedication to his family, and the many skills and lessons he passed down. His presence will be deeply missed, but his impact will live on in the lives of all who loved him.

Private services will be held at a later date.
