Opelika, Ala. –– The City of Opelika is proud to announce the launch of a
citywide beautification project aimed at enhancing the visual appeal of our
community while promoting economic growth, sustainability, and civic
pride.
As part of this multi-year initiative, residents and visitors will soon see a
variety of improvements, including the addition of vibrant new plants,
upgraded signage, and other aesthetic enhancements designed to make
Opelika an even more inviting place to live, work, and visit.
City crews will begin working downtown February 25 – 28, then move to
Courthouse Square, and work their way to gateways and corridors into the
city.
“Our city is already a wonderful place, and this beautification project is an
investment in our future,” said Mayor Gary Fuller. “By enhancing our public
spaces, we are creating an environment that fosters community pride,
attracts new businesses, and strengthens our local economy. We ask that
folks pardon our progress. Beautiful things take time.”
