Opelika, Ala. —The City of Opelika is proud to announce that several Community Relations team members received multiple prestigious awards at the Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA) annual conference, held Friday, March 20, in Mobile, Alabama.
The PRCA Medallion Awards program recognizes outstanding achievements in public relations, communications, and marketing across the state. Opelika’s Community Relations team was honored with one Medallion Award and three Awards of Excellence, highlighting the team’s creativity, strategic communication, and commitment to serving the community.

The honored projects reflect a wide range of communication efforts—from commemorative campaigns and economic development initiatives to historical storytelling and public safety reporting—all designed to inform, engage, and inspire the Opelika community.
