On Monday, the Chambers County Sheriff’s Department honored Jamie Yates for his 15 years of dedicated service to Chambers County through the Sheriff’s Department and various county offices.

Yates was recognized for his commitment to serving the community, and it was evident from all those in attendance how much he is respected and appreciated. The Sheriff’s Department is fortunate to have him on its team.

Captain Justin Burns and Sheriff Jeff Nelson congratulated Yates for being a vital part of the department.

“Jamie has been with us for 15 strong years, and for 10 of those years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with him. He is an invaluable asset to our operations at the jail, and I can’t praise him enough. He knows his job like no one else,” said Burns.

Sheriff Nelson added, “This young man is probably one of the most dependable people you will ever meet. If you call on him, no matter the time of day or night, he’ll be there. He will get the job done and will stay until it’s completed.

This is the type of individual every employee wants because he is so reliable. When you assign him a task, you can step aside and know it will be handled. Sid recognized this quality a long time ago when he brought him to the Sheriff’s Department. I could not do my job or manage my responsibilities in public without your support, Jamie, and I appreciate everything you do.”

It was clear to everyone present just how much Jamie Yates is valued. The Sheriff’s Department is truly fortunate to have him.
