LaFayette – During the regular meeting of the Chambers County Commission on Monday, the Commissioners unanimously voted to reappoint Mr. Jeremy Johnson to the Chambers County Development Authority Board of Directors for a four-year term, set to expire on April 29, 2030. County Manager Regina Chambers presented the request, stating, “I’m requesting a resolution to reappoint Mr. Jeremy Johnson.”
In other county news, the Commissioners also voted in support of allowing the use of courthouse restrooms for the upcoming Valley Haven LaFayette Day. Chris Busby from Valley Haven Schools requested, “On behalf of Valley Haven School, I’m here to request the use of the courthouse restrooms for our annual Valley Haven LaFayette Day on April 11th. The event will run from 9 AM to 3 PM Central Time, and we would appreciate it if the courthouse could be opened at 7 AM Central so that we can begin setting up tables and chairs for our vendors.”

The Commissioners again voted unanimously in favor of this request.
