On Saturday, the Chattahoochee Fuller Center, Berean International Church, members of the Lanett Council, and the Lanett Police Department hosted an Easter egg hunt across from the church in West Shawmut.

The turnout was wonderful; we distributed more than 150 baskets to an estimated 1,000 children. In addition, we provided free hot dogs, cotton candy, and popcorn. We also held a raffle for guessing how many jelly beans were in a jar.

It was amazing to watch the kids play and run during the Easter egg hunt. The excitement was palpable, with more than 3,000 plastic eggs spread out over a grassy field. The eagerly awaiting children quickly gathered the eggs in their bucket-style Easter baskets just a few minutes after the 10:30 a.m. hunt began. There were countless smiles, laughter, and squeals of delight as the eggs were scooped up from the ground”, said CFCP Executive Director Robin Pierre
