October 29, 1961 ~ March 8, 2025 (age 63)

Billy Wayne Shaddix, 63, of Valley, Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025. He was born on October 29, 1961, and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, and brother.

Billy Wayne was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Shaddix; uncles, Robert Earl Shaddix and Tommy Hill; and grandparents, H.E. & Evelyn Shaddix, Anita & Otis Duffee, William Hill, and Luther & Effie Hill.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Paulette Isbell Shaddix; his daughter, Nicole Isbell Sumner (Sheldon Sumner); and his five cherished grandchildren: Nikki Sumner Strickland (Dakota Strickland), Christian Sumner, Eathen Sumner (Makinzie Brown), Thomas Oliver Morris-Sumner, and Brooklynn-Grace Sumner. He was also blessed with two great- grandchildren, Brentley Strickland and Rydge Sumner.

Billy Wayne is also survived by his parents, William & Patricia Shaddix; his sister, Stacey Shaddix Russell (Andre Russell); his brother, Jerry Shaddix (Patty East); and many loving nieces and nephews.

Billy Wayne Shaddix was a loving husband, father, and son—the most cherished Pawpaw, a great brother, uncle, and a dear friend to many. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.

A service to honor and celebrate Billy Wayne’s life will be held at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home. Visitation is Thursday March 13, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00pm EST. The funeral will be Friday March 14, 2025, 2:00 pm EST at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Followed by laying him down to rest at Fairfax Cemetery.
