Billy Jo Poore, of Valley, Alabama, age 66, passed away, November 7, 2025.
Billy was born on December 24, 1958, in LaGrange, Georgia.
He worked at East Alabama Lumber Yard for 16 years. Billy loved his job as well as his work family. He could often be found watching wrestling and Alabama Football “ROLL TIDE!!” He was funny, loving, and above all, loved to spend time with his family.
Billy is preceded in death by, his son, Miles Sheppard; parents, James D. Poore and Gypsy West Poore; brothers, David Poore and James M. Poore.
Survivors include, wife, Shirley Chaffin; children, Brent Sheppard, Amber Sheppard; stepson, Ronnie Chaffin (Melissa); sister, Amanda Luke, grandchildren, Ashton, Jeremiah, Josh, Lena (Taylor); many nieces and nephews.
