On 07/14/2025, 35-year-old Maturius Maurice Daniel from Pike Road, AL, was arrested on warrants for Murder, Attempted Murder, First-Degree Robbery, and First-Degree Burglary. The charges stem from the incident that occurred on 07/10/2025 in the 700 Block of Herndon Street.
The preliminary investigation indicates Maturius, Kentravious Rashaun Lark, and the victim, 20-year-old Deon Monzel Daniel, were involved in a robbery at the residence on Herndon Street. During the incident, gunfire was exchanged with the resident and suspects, resulting in the death of Deon Daniel.
