Kimberley Templeton Belcher, 58, of Lanett, AL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 11, 2025. Kimberley passed away unexpectedly at East Alabama Medical Center. Kimberley was born on February 23, 1967, to her parents, Jerry Templeton and Peggy Thrower in Chambers County, Alabama. Kimberley was known as a fun, loving, and energetic lady. She always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. She loved her family and friends. Kimberley enjoyed helping people at the Orthopedic Clinic of Opelika, where she worked for several years. Kimberley was a graduate of Lanett High School. Kimberley was an avid Alabama Fan!
Kimberley was preceded in death by her son, Justin C. Benefield; and by her maternal grandparents: L. M. and Lucille Cotney; her paternal grandparents: Cornelia and Denson Templeton.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Peggy and Leonard Thrower of Lanett, AL; her brother: Glenn Templeton of Valley, AL; her sisters: Anita Bailey of Valley, AL and Deborah Akins of Fredonia, AL; a host of nieces and nephews; and her very best friend, Amber Kent of Lanett, AL and her special friend, Everett Tines.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Roper Heights Baptist Church beginning at 2:00 PM EST. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 1:00-2:00 PM EST. Please note that all service times are Eastern.
