February 23, 1943  –  January 11, 2026

Glenda Faye Adcock passed away peacefully and was called to the Lord on January 11, 2026 in Phenix City, Alabama.

Glenda was born to Rev. J.L. and Katie Bell Danford Johnson in the precious Pepperell Village in Opelika, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, E.O. Adcock and much missed children Belinda Adcock Sager and Omar Adcock; sister, Ellen Hixon: brothers, Tommy Clem of Lagrange, Georgia and Bobby Jackson Johnson and Winford ‘Ray’ Johnson both of Opelika, Alabama.

She is survived by her grandchildren Christopher Fariss, John Fariss, Kimberly Fariss Rohrbeck, Erik Adcock, Max Adcock, great-grandchildren; Kailey Fariss, Fantasia Fariss; Madison, Vivian, Owen, Gavin, Brooklyn, and Ava Rohrbeck and an abundant number of nieces and nephews.

Glenda, also known affectionately as Gran Gran or Aunt Glenda, cherished her family and friends and loved spending time with them. You could always find her baking a cake for a neighbor or rooting for her Auburn Tigers. She was never more than a phone call away from anybody in need. She was truly a special soul.

Family visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with public visitation at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 in the Parlor at Frederick Dean Funeral Home in Opelika. The funeral service will begin at noon in the Chapel with interment immediately following, also on Friday, January 16th at Garden Hills Cemetery.

Please join with family and friends for fellowship, the sharing of stories and enjoying small bites and refreshments. Solstice Apartment Clubhouse/Office-1960 Solstice Cir., Opelika Alabama, immediately following the graveside service.
