January 26, 1940 ~ December 30, 2025 (age 85)
Ned Henderson, 85, of the Lakeview Community in Lanett Alabama, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Born on January 26, 1940, Ned was the son of Fred and Edith Henderson, of Lanett Alabama, and a graduate of Lanett High School. Ned worked with WestPoint Stevens at the Transportation Center, with Fast Food Distribution in LaGrange GA, and retired from Walmart Transportation in LaGrange GA.
Ned is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dana (Sorrell) Henderson, two sons, Brian (Patti) Henderson and Courtney (Donna) Henderson, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who will miss him dearly. He was also survived by two brothers, Gary (MaryAnn) Henderson, Mack (Robbie) Henderson, and sister-in-law Gail Henderson along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Edith Henderson, as well as his brother Ted Henderson.
Ned was always willing to lend a hand to family and neighbors when needed. He lived each day offering support and love to his children and grandchildren. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, his greatest joy was his family. He loved fishing, woodworking, and college football, especially the University of Alabama.
In accordance with Ned’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no service at this time. Those who wish to honor Ned’s memory may do so in their own way or through a quiet moment of remembrance.
