January 2, 1946 ~ November 13, 2025 (age 79)
Mrs. Doylene H. Moon, 79, of Valley joined the Lord and her beloved late husband Rodney Moon Thursday, November 13th, 2025. She is survived by her children Karen Richards, Felecia Hollis, Jeff Monroe, Terry Monroe, Carmen Moon (Jason) Turnham and her sister Leighie Jones. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ty McCormick, Maggie Monroe, Casey McCormick, Jessie Brumfield, Allen Herbert, Riley Turnham, Josiah Hollis, and Carlisa Hollis.
Doylene was born January 2nd, 1946, in Valley, AL. She was the daughter of the late Doyle and Dolly Humphrey. She was a very active member of Riverview Baptist Church and worked several years at West Point Pepperell where she met Rodney.
Mrs. Moon enjoyed working in her flower gardens, feeding the songbirds and mastering crossword puzzles. And Lord best you do not get between her and the Alabama football game on TV as it was always a quick way to have a shoe thrown at you. She was deeply loved by her family and her church and will be missed beyond words.
Funeral services for Doylene will be held on Monday, November 17th, 2025, at 11:00 AM (EDT) at the Riverview Baptist Church in Valley, Alabama. Interment will follow in Harmony Memorial Park Cemetery. Brother Lanny Sledge will officiate. Mrs. Doylene’s family will receive friends for visitation Monday morning at the church from 10:00 AM (EDT) until the service hour.
