Last Wednesday, Valley Police with help from the Columbus Police Department charged a local man in the murder of Dalton Alexander Stringfellow last December on County Road 196.
“On April 26, 2023, Lenzy Felix Mayhand, age 59, was arrested by Columbus Police Department on an outstanding warrant for Murder through Valley Police Department.
On April 28, 2023, Mayhand was extradited to Chambers County, AL, and is currently being held at the Chambers County Detention Facility awaiting a bond hearing.
A warrant was obtained for his arrest, and it was determined that Mayhand could possibly be in the Columbus, GA area. Columbus Police Department was notified of his potential whereabouts and was able to locate Mayhand and take him into custody”, said Valley Police Captain Chris Daniell in a press release to Gator Media and the Chambers Ledger.
