Mrs. Linda Fay Smedley, 55 of Opelika, AL passed away on August 4, 2025.

Public Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Mrs. Smedley will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, 1:00 PM CST at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Michael Stiggers, Pastor | Rev. Rodney Calloway, Officiating | Rev. Patrick Gamble, Eulogist.

Burial will follow in Essie J. Handy Cemetery in LaFayette, AL.

Mrs. Smedley leaves cherished memories with her loving and devoted husband of many years, Timothy E. Smedley, three children: Jeronica Wright, Adrian Wright, and Jecorey (Albert) Giddens, two bonus children: Antione Smedley and Latoya Smedley, a loving mother: Lillie Mae Wright, three grandchildren: Deshonquavious Wright, Ajah Wright and Tyler Gaines, three sisters: Tammy Wright, Tara (William) Askew, and Annie (Willie) Lockhart, one brother, Calvin (Angela) Billingsley, mother-in-law, Mary Huguley, father-in-law, Houston Moore, four brothers-in-law: Jarvis (Tamesha) Bailey, Marcus (Derika) Bailey, Burlon (Trina) Huguley, and Tarvis Huguley, three aunts: Gloria Story, Mary (Jerome) Ponds and Barbara King, three uncles: Freddie (Brenda) Billingsley, Willie Wright, and Charlie Ben Wright, nine nieces: Neshebra Wright, Tiffany Harrington, Escreanna James, Tariana Askew, Tyanna Askew, Wilzara Linson, Shameka Lockhart, Quinesha Jones, and Shadreka Jones, six nephews: Marcus Wright, Keota (Shanavia) Beaty, Marquavious Billingsley, O’Neil Lockhart, Willie Lockhart, Montavious Askew, special great-niece and nephews: Paisley James, Cameron Reese, and Zyion (Bo Dilly) Harris, four godchildren that she loved as her own: Kearston McCants, KyMani McCants, KyMari McCants and Laprincess Williams, special friends: Sharon Davidson, Jackie Huguley, Lousie Evans, Melanie Davis and Jackie Linson and her fur baby who she loved so much, Shadow Smedley and a host of relatives and friends.
