Born on July 22, 1972, at Lanier Hospital in Valley, Alabama, Debra was a beacon of kindness and a loving presence in the lives of all who knew her.

The beloved wife of Melvin Vines, Debra was a cherished member of a large and caring family. She was the treasured daughter of Linda and Dan Kennedy. She was an adored sister and sister-in-law, leaving fond memories for her brothers James Kennedy (Michelle), Jeff Kennedy, and Tony Kennedy (Missty), as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Judith Jones (Eddie), Ramona Glaze, Sandra Morgan (Michaael), Demetrice Ross, and Lasonya Ross. Debra also held a special place in the hearts of her nephews Willis and Cullen Kennedy, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

An active and valued member of the Kingdon Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Valley, Alabama, Debra’s faith was evident in her willingness to lend a helping hand and a listening ear to anyone in need. Her benevolent nature touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark on the community she held dear.

Debra lived life with a profusion of joy, finding pleasure in the simplicities and the company of her family. She possessed an innate affinity for children and delighted in the laughter and playfulness they brought into her world. Her hobbies included delving into puzzle books and coloring, which provided her with hours of contentment.

A passionate fan of Dolly Parton and Betty Boop, Debra dreamed of one day visiting Dollywood, inspired by the music and charm of her favorite artist. The words kind, friendly, and loving encapsulate the essence of Debra’s character. She approached life with an open heart and extended warmth and affection to all those around her.
