City of Lanett Enters Into Agreement with U.S. DOT Aviation for New Airport Access Road

LANETT- On Monday’s Lanett mayor and council meeting, the council  approved a resolution for a new access road at the Lanett Regional Airport through an esitmated $5 million federal aviation grant.

Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood representative Caleb Williams was pleased with the desicion and told the council that the action taken on Monday was needed to finalize the city’s end of the grant. The grant is on course to be fully finalized by Aug. 25.

The new acess road will provide faster access to the airport from I-85 across from where 45th Street SW enters Phillips Road.

Additionally, the council approved a professional services contract with Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood for its part in a taxilane pavement maintenance project.
