Mr. Troy Jay Huddleston, 71, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025. He was born on July 18th,1953, in Randolph County, Alabama.
Mr. Huddleston is survived by his wife, Yvonne, sons, Cecil Huddleston and Troy (TJ) Huddleston, and daughter, Serena Hutchison. He is also survived by his grandchildren Richard Tostenson, Brittany Weldon, Brandon McLamb, Whitney Sims, Marshall (Booger) Hinson, Corey Hinson, Sarah Huddleston, Lacie Huddleston, Hadassah James, Joehanna Bennett, and Isaiah Glidewell. Mr. Huddleston is also survived by his sister, Clara-Mae Cantrell, and fifteen great grandchildren.
Mr. Huddleston was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Huddleston; father, Zora Huddleston; brothers A.D. Huddleston, Ben Huddleston, Roy Huddleston; and sisters, Lou Baker, Ida Overton, and Hattie Huddleston.
Mr. Huddleston was a painter by trade. His hobbies included restoring old cars and trucks and playing guitar.
He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church and loved living for Jesus.
Mr. Huddleston was loved very much by his wife and family.
Visitation for Mr. Huddleston will be held on Monday, March 10th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM EST. The funeral will follow at 3:00 PM EST at Osanippa Baptist Church in Lanett, Alabama, with Brother Claude Bennett officiating.
Valley Point Funeral Home and Cremation in Lanett, Alabama, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
