On Monday during the Valley Mayor and Council meeting, Public Works Director Patrick Bolt acknowledged Michael Heard for his 29 years of dedicated service to the city. The council expressed their appreciation with a standing ovation.

In other City of Valley news, the council unanimously voted to reappoint Paul Meadows as the City of Valley Representative to the Chambers County Development Board of Directors for a 4-year term.
Valley Parks and Recreation Director Laurie Blount briefed the counil on the latest in the Department.
