WADLEY, AL — Southern Union State Community College (SUSCC) invites alumni, friends of SUSCC and community members to its annual Homecoming celebration, taking place at the Wadley campus in the Sports Arena on February 27.

The evening’s activities will kick off at 5 pm with recognition of the sophomore Women’s basketball team members. The Lady Bison tip off at 5:30 p.m. against the Gadsden State Cardinals. During the women’s halftime, the Presentation of the Homecoming Court and the Cheerleader Sophomore Recognition is scheduled. In between the Women’s and Men’s games Men’s Basketball sophomore recognition and recognition of alumni athletes will take place.

The Men’s team tips off against Gadsden State at 7:30 p.m. As part of the halftime activities of the Men’s game, Southern Union will recognize SU Alumni in attendance and crown the Homecoming Queen and King. The festivities will also include a Performance by the SU Dancers with a lively performance of “Shake it for Me” to get the crowd pumped!

Alumni have a special invitation to the annual Homecoming Alumni Reception which begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Southern Room of the Arena.
“We look forward to welcoming back our alumni and friends to celebrate this special tradition,” said Shondae Brown, Director of Public Relations at SUSCC. “Homecoming is a time to reflect on the successes of our past, honor the achievements of our current students, and build connections with those who have contributed to our legacy.”
