Lanett PD Investigating Death of Crystal Springs Man, Suspect in Custody

Lanett, AL — On February 6th Lanett Police responded to a call at S. 13th Street, located within Crystal Springs Apartments, regarding an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and obtained a search warrant to further investigate the incident.

According to Lanett Police Chief Denise McCain, following the investigation they identified and arrested an alleged suspect, Demetrius Dion Trammell Jr., 23 years of age. The arrest was made at 4:20PM.

The identity of the unresponsive male is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Lanett Police will release additional information as it becomes available.
