On Monday, the Lanett Girls left no doubt as they cruised to a 59-19 win over
Reeltown for the 2025 AHSAA 2A Area Championship.
Head Coach Charlie Williams Panthers was very aggressive from the tip with a balanced attack led by Senior MaKiah White who scored 17 points.
Respect to Reeltown, who battled admirably and kept it competitive early before Lanett began pouring it on in the second quarter.
“We just came out with tremendous intensity. Our Seniors MaKiah White Tyra Jackson, Christiana Brock did a great job tonight of setting the tone and my young girls just followed suit”, said Williams.
Williams dialed up a defense in the second half limiting Reeltown to a mere seven points.
The Lanett Lady Panthers will try and continue their winning ways on Friday as they host Vincient in the Sub Region Tournament.
