Valley Police Chief Mike Reynolds issued the following press release to the Chambers Ledger on Tuesday regarding the identification of the remains of a Valley man.
“The Medical Examiner’s Office contacted Valley Police Investigators on February 2nd, 2025, and reported that the DNA analysis of the remains recovered in Riverview on October 16th, 2024, were those of Donald Wayne Estes, 36 years old of Beulah.
Estes had been reported missing to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office by his family on July 8th, 2023. During their investigation, they found that Estes was last seen on June 9th, 2023, in the Riverview area of Valley. Lee County Investigators reached out to Valley Investigators on August 4th, 2023, for assistance in this case. Valley Investigators followed up on several leads over the next year, culminating with the discovery of the skeletalremains in October 2024″, said Reynolds in the release.
