Attempted Murder: Man Charged in LaFayette

On January 26th, 2025 around 5:30 am Lafayette officers responded to the area of Duke Court in reference to a possible murder. Officers located a black male laying in the floor of his residence suffering from serious injuries.

The victim was flown to Piedmont Hospital where he is still receiving treatment.

Lawerence Johnson was arrested for attempted murder. This case is still under investigation at this time. Also would like to say thank you to Chambers County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance.
