Lou Ellen Ellington Brumbeloe,79, of  Lanett passed away on November 17th, 2024, at EAMC in Opelika, Alabama.

Lou Ellen was born in West Point, Georgia on July 25th, 1945, to the late Jesse Pete and Mattie Lou Ellington. Lou Ellen graduated from West Point High School in 1963. She was a long-term employee of West Point Pepperell, Inc. as an executive secretary, retiring after 30-plus years in 2005. While employed at West Point Pepperell, Lou Ellen earned an Associate of Science degree from Southern Union State Community College and was an officer of Professional Secretaries International for many years.

Lou Ellen is survived by her children Mark (Kim) Brumbeloe of Notasulga, Al., Daniel (Kristen) Brumbeloe of Pelham, Al, and Lee Ann Brumbeloe of Lanett Her grandchildren Benjamin, Bailey, Brody, Bowman, and Bechah of Notasulga, AL., Knox and Sloane Brumbeloe of Pellham, AL. Her brother Tom (Mona) Ellington, of West Point, GA; Her brother-in-law N.D.(Saundra) Brumbeloe of Alpharetta, GA.; her nephews Todd (Nhu) Brumbeloe of Marietta, GA, Taylor (Shaun) Ellington of Opelika, AL.; and her niece Beth (Mike) Yglesias of Denver, NC. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles Lee Brumbeloe.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am EDT at First United Methodist Church of Lanett on Thursday, November 21st, 2024, with funeral service at 11 am. Interment to follow at Marseilles Cemetery in West Point, Georgia. The Reverend Rusty Williams will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, American Red Cross, or Lanett First United Methodist Church.
