David Ussery, a cherished soul known for his wisdom, friendliness, and intelligence, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, in Greenville, Georgia.

Born on May 27, 1956, in LaGrange, Georgia, David’s life was a testament to the love and laughter he shared with everyone he met.

David, affectionately known as David to his friends and family, dedicated many years of service to Knauf Insulation before his well-deserved retirement. His commitment to his work was paralleled only by his involvement in various associations where he contributed with the same passion and diligence that characterized his professional life.

An avid sports enthusiast, David’s love for Alabama football was matched by his skill on the golf course and his competitive spirit in bowling. These interests were more than hobbies; they were avenues through which he formed lasting friendships and cherished memories.

David’s legacy is carried on by his loving son, Brandon Ussery, and his adored grandchildren, Hayley and Jessica Ussery, who will miss their grandfather’s guidance and unwavering support. He also leaves behind his brother, Edward Ussery, Jr., and his nieces, Sabrina and Elizabeth, who will fondly remember his advice and gentle demeanor.

David’s life was a journey of joy, learning, and kindness. He navigated through life’s challenges with grace and emerged as a role model for those who had the privilege of knowing him.

His absence will be deeply felt, but the impact of his life will continue to resonate with all who were touched by his presence. As we bid farewell to David Ussery, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.

David’s story is one of warmth, laughter, and the enduring power of a life lived with genuine kindness.

A memorial service and visitation will be held at Plant City Baptist Church, Lanett, Alabama, Monday, December 30, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. (EST).
