OPELIKA, AL (Nov. 6, 2026) – The Miele sign was recently installed on the wall of the Forward Opelika Campaign at the Opelika Chamber building. This milestone symbolizes the close partnership between Miele’s first U.S. production site and the local community.
Miele, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of premium kitchen appliances, has been producing ovens and ranges for the North American market at its Opelika plant since 2024.
The occasion brought together Ali Rauch, President & CEO of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce, and Miele representatives Stefan Koss, Executive Director Finance & Administration; Rebecca Steinhage, Executive Director Human Resources and Corporate Affairs; Ulf M. Kranz, CEO of Miele’s Opelika operations; and his designated successor, Stefan Reichmann.
Later this year, a Miele kitchen will be installed in the building, giving visitors the opportunity to experience firsthand Miele’s excellence in kitchen appliance design and innovation.
Miele, the City of Opelika and the Opelika Chamber of Commerce are proud to strengthen their ties with the Opelika community and look forward to continuing this successful partnership.
