September 27, 1998 ~ October 22, 2026 (age 28)

Victoria Nicole Barton, known lovingly to family and friends as Tori, passed away on October 22, 2026, in Valley, Alabama, at the age of 28. She was born on September 27, 1998, in Riverdale, Georgia, and lived a life marked by kindness, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the people around her.

Tori was the daughter of Charlie and Rachel Barton and the cherished sister of Alyssa McCubbins (Wilson), and Jesse Barton. She was also a beloved granddaughter of Roy and Jeannie Davis and Shirley Hannah. Her family circle included a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will remember her with love, along with her faithful fur baby, Milo, who was a constant companion in her life. Her precious Aunt Tanya had a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her great grandmothers, Wynell Davis and Emily Smith; her grandfather, C. J. Hannah; and her uncle, Mike Barton. Their memories remained an important part of her family story, and they now welcome her into eternal rest.

Tori was a Christian and a member of the Church of the Highlands in Opelika, Alabama. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she had recently found her heart filled with gratitude and grace. Those who knew her best describe her as generous, funny, and intelligent, with a spirit that was both memorable and unmistakably her own.

She was very generous and found joy in helping others whenever she could. Tori was also deeply creative. She was an artist who expressed herself with imagination and heart, and she loved to read and write. Her creativity was matched by a thoughtful nature and a genuine interest in the world around her.

Tori was a unique spirit who could be silly, hardheaded, and soft hearted all at once. She had a way of making people laugh while also making them feel seen and cared for. In the last year of her life, she was especially thankful for the blessings God had given her, and that gratitude reflected the strength of her faith and the depth of her character.

Her life, though far too short, left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Tori Barton will be remembered for her generous heart, her quick wit, her intelligence, and the love she shared so freely. Her family and friends will carry her memory forward with sorrow, gratitude, and enduring love.

A memorial service for Tori will be held on Monday, October 26th, 2026, at the Church of the Highlands at 3300 Anderson Rd, Opelika, Alabama at 5:30 PM (CDT). Pastor Kevin Haefner will officiate. Tori’s family will receive friends at the church following the service.
