Ms. Beverly Dianne Shelnutt of West Point, Georgia passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026 at East Alabama Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born at Lanier Hospital in Valley, Alabama on December 26, 1942.
Ms. Shelnutt attended West Point High School and was a meat cutter for twenty-five years. She had an uncanny ability to laugh last and make others laugh. Her hobbies and interests included reading, which she loved, knitting, crocheting, cooking for her family, canning, and spending all available time with her family.
Diane was a member and caretaker at Living Word Assembly of God in Lanett, Alabama.
Ms. Shelnutt was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Martin “Marty” Hall, former husband, Billy G. Hall, and her parents, Herman and Gladys King.
Survivors include her son, Eric Hall (Deanne), grandchildren, Jordan Dutton, Joseph Elijah Hall, and Abby Smith. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Visitation for Beverly Dianne Shelnutt will be Monday, October 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM EST with a funeral to follow at 3:00 PM EST at Valley-Point Funeral Home and Crematory in Lanett, Alabama with Pastor Phillip Doss officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett, Alabama.
