Nellie Ann Jarrell, 92, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at EAMC-Lanier Hospital with her family by her side.
Ann married Ben Jarrell in 1952. They raised 4 boys in Cusseta, AL. With Ben working with the IBEW, they traveled all over the country following jobs. Ann later worked for WestPoint Pepperell as an overedger. She loved to cook and prepared many delicious meals for her family and extended family. She was a very hard-working woman, enjoying housework and yard work as her hobbies. She fiercely loved her family and enjoyed telling about them to anyone that would listen. Her stories about her life adventures will be missed by many.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Benjamin Aaron Jarrell, her parents Pierce and Viola Hull, her siblings – Pete Hull, Jim Hull, Ralph Hull, Ronnie Hull, Tillie Gagne, Peggy Hastings, Buster Barclay; two grandchildren, Tanna Nicole Jarrell, Clinton Wayne Jarrell.
She is survived by her children: Gary (Becky) Jarrell, David (Jody) Jarrell, Ken (Bonnie) Jarrell, Tony (Shawn) Jarrell. Her grandchildren: Jada Swader, Justin (Jenna) Jarrell, and Adam (Carrie) Jarrell, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30 from 5-7pm EST at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home. The service will be held Monday, August 31 at 11 am EST in the chapel at Johnson Brown-Service with Pastor Mark Robinson officiating.
