Barbara Ingram Evans, 80, passed away, July 28, 2026, in Valley, Alabama surrounded by the love of her family.

Barbara was born in Chilton County, Alabama, September 15, 1945, to the late William Benjamin Ingram and the late Louise Perryman Ingram.

A graveside service will be held at Fairfax Cemetery, Valley, Alabama, on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00 A.M EST.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur C. Stockdale and Roy A. Evans; her daughter, Tricia Ann Stockdale; and her siblings, Frank Ingram, Oscar Ingram, Carl Ingram, Calvin Ingram, Betty Wright, and Ellen Ingram. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Arnold (Vicky) Evans, Carol (Phillip) Doss, KristI (Clifford) Platt, Sylvia Evans, Joanna (Derrick) Miller, and Dee Stockdale. She also leaves behind her siblings, Gloria (Wayne) Mitchell, Patricia Davenport, and Charles E. Ingram. Barbara was a proud grandmother to Michele, Denise, Mandy, Gavin, Ana, Tyler, Jake, Royce, Mateo, Josh, Jodee, Cohen, Skye, and Coleman. She was also blessed with many cherished great-grandchildren, as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Barbara found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved sewing, working puzzles, baking for those she loved, tending to her yard, collecting anything related to Thomas Kinkade, and a good casino.

Barbara will be remembered for her love for her family and the many treasured memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Lanier Nursing Home and Chattahoochee Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and dignity they provided to her during her final days. Your support, comfort, and dedication meant more than words can express, and our family will always be deeply grateful.

The family appreciates the thoughts, prayers, and expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.
