Tracy Lynn Moncus, known to family and friends as Tracy, passed away on July 5, 2026, in Columbus, Georgia, at the age of 54.

Born on April 22, 1972, in Dadeville, Alabama, Tracy lived a life marked by love, kindness, and devotion to the people and places that meant the most to him. He carried the values of family, loyalty, and hard work throughout his life, and those who knew him will remember him for his warm heart, steady presence, and genuine care for others.

Tracy adored his family and especially cherished his grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He is survived by his wife, Scarlett Moncus; his son, Dylan Moncus and wife Nicole; his daughter, Morgan Sides; his sister, Tammy White; his sister-in-law, Darlene Asher and husband Brian; and his beloved grandchildren, Tatum Moncus, Makenna Moncus, and Grayson Sides. He also leaves behind his nieces, Autumn Sanders, Shelby Sheffield, and Chantelle Rondel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Peggy Moncus.

Tracy enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures and found happiness in the things he loved most. He loved hunting, golf, NASCAR, and drag racing, and he was an avid Auburn fan. He also held a special love for the North Carolina mountains, where he found peace and enjoyment in their beauty. Whether spending time outdoors, following a race, or cheering on his team, Tracy embraced the moments that brought him joy.

Those who knew Tracy will remember him as a loving and kind man whose presence made a difference in the lives of others. His family was the center of his world, and his legacy will live on through the memories, laughter, and love he shared with them. Though he will be deeply missed, the impact of his life will remain in the hearts of all who loved him.

Tracy Lynn Moncus will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who were blessed to know him.

A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of Johnson-Brown Service Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. (EDT). Pastor Rusty Letson will officiate. Mr. Tracy’s family will receive friends for visitation July 11, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. (EDT) until the service hour.
