Juanita Lorene Leamon, known lovingly as Juanita, passed away on June 17, 2026, in Valley, Alabama, at the age of 92.
She was born on January 28, 1934, in Valley, Alabama, and lived a long life marked by kindness, warmth, and a gentle spirit that touched those around her. Juanita was a loving and kind woman whose presence brought comfort and familiarity to family and friends alike. She carried herself with grace and quiet strength, and she will be remembered for the steady goodness she shared throughout her life.
Juanita devoted many years of her working life to her career and retired from the Jacksonville Chambers of Commerce at the age of 65. Her dedication and dependable nature were evident in all she did, and she took pride in her work and the relationships she built along the way. She was respected for her commitment and appreciated for the thoughtful way she interacted with others.
Outside of work, Juanita enjoyed a life filled with simple pleasures and memorable experiences. She loved to buy and sell items at the local flea markets, where she found joy in the search for special treasures and the excitement of a good find. She also loved traveling and going on cruises, embracing the opportunity to see new places and make lasting memories. These interests reflected her lively spirit and her appreciation for the beauty and adventure life had to offer.
Juanita is survived by her nieces, Martha Jane Joiner, Lena Jane Vickory, and Diana Sue Green, and her nephews, James Craft and Steven Craft. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felton Blanton and Lena Scarborough, her brothers, Morgan F. Blanton and David C. Blanton, and her sister, Barbara Ann Craft. Her family will remember her with deep affection and gratitude for the love she gave and the example she set.
Those who knew Juanita will remember her as a loving and kind woman who valued family, enjoyed life’s simple joys, and met each day with a gracious heart. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy of kindness will continue to be cherished by all who were blessed to know her.
