LANETT – On Monday, the Fuller Center and the New Oregon missionary team from Fort Payne began work on House Builds 82 and 83 at 813 North 12th Street in Lanett.

“My goal is to have these houses dried in by Thursday. We’re talking about putting house wrap on the buildings, installing windows and doors, as well as securing the keys, locks, and roof. We’re praying that the weather holds out so they can get this done,” said Fuller Center Executive Director Robin Pierre.

New Oregon missionary team began their project at a rapid pace on the first day of construction, despite the hot and muggy weather. “I have been a part of these builds for 37 years, and I always enjoy working with the Fuller Center,” said team member Holly Burt.

These builds are estimated to take 30 days to complete.

“After this, we’ll just need to finish the interior sheetrock and flooring,” added Pierre.

There will be a dedication of the homes upon completion.
