On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at approximately 12:20 p.m., deputies from Chambers County were dispatched to County Road 86 in response to a report of a vehicle parked on the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of a deceased white female and a deceased white male in a wooded area near the vehicle.
Agents from the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) and the Chambers County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to manage the investigation.
“At this time, the bodies are being transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for autopsy to determine the cause of death. No names will be released at this time pending positive identification and notification of next of kin,” stated Chambers County Sheriff Jeff Nelson.
