With the outpouring of interest on social media, the Opelika Police Department is hoping the public can assist in locating a missing canine.
On May 15, 2026, between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., a Shih Tzu named Dixie ran out of her residence in the Town Lake area. Dixie is gray and approximately 4 pounds.
Due to recent information, the owner believes Dixie may have been taken.
