On Saturday, the Opelika community and surrounding areas gathered at the Heritage House to celebrate Grandma Val’s Lemonade’s 5th anniversary during the Mid Summer Market.
“Today represents love, entrepreneurship, and support. It’s about coming together as a community in historic downtown Opelika. I am so grateful to the Opelika Chamber, Dr. Nate Dunlap Jr. with the PRF Institute, and everyone who came out to show their love. Most of all, I want to thank the Heritage House,” said owner Valarie Canady
“I want to them for the amazing support they’ve given over the last four years, allowing me to co-host with Mid Summer event with them.
I am grateful for the love everyone has given in honor of my grandson as well as to me for my fifth year anniversary. Most importantly I want to thank God, as I give himall the glory. He laid the foundation.

So what’s up next for Grandma Val’s Lemonade?
“The next step is to distribute our lemonade to grocery stores within a 150-mile radius. Currently, we are in 40 to 50 locations, including all ten stores of Renfro’s Market, both Givorns locations in Valley and West Point, Wright’s Groceries in Opelika, and CarMax in their Notasulga location.
